We recently had a catastrophic incident with our A200 dispensing system – a forklift hit the front of the unit and inflicted serious damage to the weigh scale and the pail/jug support assembly!

The only solution was to replace all of these parts. A quick call was made to the HMJ tech support line to explain the situation. Shortly thereafter we received a formal quote for the replacement components and processed a purchase order to expedite the required parts to our facility in Indiana. The parts arrived and were quickly and easily installed by our own staff. HMJ tech support personnel assisted us through the scale re-calibration process using remote access and confirmed everything was working properly.

The total cost including crating, expedited shipping to site and support was well under USD $2,000. HMJ tech’s modular laser cut equipment design and in stock inventory made what could have been a very expensive and time critical issue a minor problem that was addressed quickly and efficiently. “In 2018 Flint Group in Canada installed several HMJ tech automated dispenser systems for the Flint Group. These systems have been in place for one full year. A summary of our experience to date follows.
HMJ tech consistently provided timely responses to requests for equipment proposals. Their offerings have been practical and reasonably priced. They have many dispensing systems on their line card, which have to be a practical fit for the needs of Flint Group and its end users.
HMJ tech provided comprehensive documentation prior to construction that included a detailed layout of drawings and of utility connection diagrams. Though HMJ systems are built from standard modules, they have proven to be able to accommodate a wide range of ink room layouts. One of the A250 dispensers that was purchased last year by the Flint Group from HMJ was packed for shipment. However, the client changed their mind about the machine location. HMJ tech quickly worked to meet the needs of our client and worked directly with them by creating an updated design, obtaining the necessary approvals, and packaging additional equipment within the same day. The installation stayed on course for its original schedule and was flawless, with no missing parts or surprises.
HMJ tech’s machine installations have been exemplary. Their equipment arrived in enclosed crates, substantially preassembled. The machines each installed in one to two days without any issues. Their installation service included full commissioning, machine optimization, and staff training. At each site, personnel quickly adapted to the HMJ tech dispenser interface and were quickly able to perform dispensing and inventory functions without issue.
Our clients have needed minimal support after installation, but HMJ tech has consistently answered the phone and they’ve been quick to offer support in the form of training and troubleshooting through their online connection. After a full year in operation, our Western Canada installations have had zero part failures and zero issues with dispensing. Additionally, the dispensing times are as promised. The precision and reliability of these dispensers is the
best we’ve experienced. The valve cleaner is exactly as advertised. If our clients keep the cleaner fluid changed, the valve cleaners keep the valves completely clean.
For several projects we also purchased their drum agitators, and their finished pail mixers. Both of these products demonstrate their innovative approach to solving the problems of our industry. We have not had any issues.
